Can you recommend a good place to buy either antiques or artwork in Woodstock? I know that each are popular items being sold there, but I wouldn't know where to start looking!

I was not to sure if we were allowed to post links or not but I did a search when I seen your post because my parents love antiques and they would love to visit some of the antique stores in the area. Here are a couple that sounded good to me. The first one is Heritage and the other one is Woodstock Art & Antiques. I hope this will give you someplace to start.

Thanks, brandon05... I just found a site with a number of Woodstock arts and antiques places. I was just hoping that someone could recommend a favorite. Anyone looking this up, though, be careful... seems that America has a few towns named Woodstock, too, that have antique shops. Not to worry though because our OX Woodstock has plenty to go around!

You're welcome. I just know my parents would love to shop around in the local antique stores. I love the little family run shops the best. That is where you generally see the more unique stuff.

Thanks brandon05. I'd like to check out some of these things when I get over to England and it's nice to know where to go when in Woodstock. I'm sure my parents would appreciate me bringing them back something nice from an antique or art shop so I'll be sure to check these out.

Thank you very much for the information on artwork and antiques. Hopefully, when I get to visit the country, I would be able to grab some for my grandmother who is a big fan of antiques.

When it comes to antiques a lot of the time I am also a window shopper. If not for my parents I probably wouldn't even do window shop. Antiques in general are way out of my price range. I like them but really cannot afford the things that I like.

The internet has become an interesting place. In these days you can find info about almost everything. There are many blogs and websites which will help you. They aren't that hard to find. Give a search at google and you will find some.

Just like you, when it comes to antiques and most artworks, I am just a window shopper. I do not really have that much money to spare for this kinds of items. I would say that I have an eye for masterpieces but not the money to buy them.
