According to a recent research, women taking alcohol have more chances of affected by breast cancer. But the women are now addicted to alcohol here.Should the public health care authority bring a law to stop alcohol taking by women or public awarness will suffice ?

The law can not discriminate between women and men. In order for them to stop women from drinking legally, they would also have to take that right away from men. I don't think drinking will become illegal. Unfortunately public awareness is the best idea. I never knew about breast cancer associated with alcohol.

I would think it would have to be a good amount of alcohol, but there is tons of these sort of "research" if everyone was to listen to them, no one could enjoy their lives.

I don't think the law should have in any place in discriminating between men and women in terms of issues like alcohol consumption. It's a personal choice after all.

I had not heard this either but I agree that I don't think that alcohol should be made illegal because of this. I think making it in illegal in the end would probably cause more trouble all around.

It would be difficult to ban the consumption of alcohol, somehow it's viewed slightly differently from smoking. For now, public awareness is the best way to go...

I agree that public awareness is the best route to take. That and passing a long these types of studies so others are aware of them.

Some people practically drink alcohol like it was water. Yes, it has many disadvantages but it's the person's choice whether he/she will drink or not. I agree that public awareness is the only solution to this.

Yes, consuming alcohol in large amounts may cause breast cancer, along with several other factors, of course! But simply having a drink a day will not significantly increase your risk of getting the disease. So, limit your alcohol intake to be on the safe side. I also agree that public awareness is the best way to go.
