there are actually quire a few online jobs that are not scams. Most of them pay little money though. There are many sites you can write on for money such as Associated Content, Epinions, or Suite101. YOu can also try ejury sites.

There are hundreds of scam sites in the internet. Most PTC sites are free, but most are also scams. Though you don't lose any money on these sites, you do waste time and effort.

Most online jobs are scams. A friend of mine does a lot of those PTC sites. She does about 4 of them a day and sits there and clicks away but makes very little money. When you reach the payout it's a 50/50 chance that you will get paid. She has sat there for hours and has been scamed.

Most of them are scams and the simplest way to tell is that they ask for money before offering you a job.
