Pure Water Vs. Tap Water 2008/04/16 13:51 Karma: 0
Pure water is much healthier than tap water. Most tap water has Chlorine and Fluoride in it. Which is poisonous to our body. Chlorine is bad because it actually hardens our arteries and can cause people to get Heart Attacks. Also Chlorine is bad because it can cause cancer in our bodies. Fluoride is very bad because it damages our nervous system and makes people forget and have trouble thinking and focusing. Here is what I found on Chlorine and Fluoride:

According to the U.S. Council of Environmental Quality‚ "Cancer risk among people drinking chlorinated water is as much as 93% higher than among those whose water does not contain chlorine."

There is a lot of well-founded concern about chlorine. When chlorine is added to our water‚ it combines with other natural compounds to form Trihalomethanes (chlorination byproducts)‚ or THMs. These chlorine by-products trigger the production of free radicals in the body‚ causing cell damage‚ and are highly carcinogenic. Chlorine is also suspected to contribute to hardening of the arteries‚ the primary cause of heart disease".

The fluoride currently being dumped in 90 percent of drinking water in the U.S. is added in the form of hydrofluoric acid, a chemical byproduct of aluminum, steel, cement, phosphate, and nuclear weapons manufacturing. It is one of the most caustic of industrial chemicals.

Hydrofluoric acid is used to refine high octane gasoline, to make fluorocarbons and chlorofluorocarbons for freezers and air conditioners, and to manufacture computer screens, fluorescent light bulbs, semiconductors, plastics, herbicides ... and toothpaste.

It also has the ability to burn flesh to the bone, destroy eyes, and sear lungs so that victims drown in their own body fluid. Once in the body, fluoride destroys human enzymes by changing their shape.

Pure water is better. I used to drink water right out of the tap not realizing that there was chlorine in the water. Now that I am drinking pure water I love it ice cold.

I prefer the free tap water, full potable of course. No point wasting money on unproven health claims.
