So I hear Faringdon is known for its dyed pigeons, a practice started by a certain Lord Berners. Are these birds still around, and is the practice being continued? I've seen pictures of pink and purple pigeons. I'm just wondering if people have seen them while in this region.

I have never heard of this before. How in the world would you dye a pigeon? I would think that they would not be easy to catch. I guess it would add color to the area.

I have never heard of anything like this. But seeing these dyed pigeons would really be very interesting. My dad used to have several pigeons but I never thought of having them dyed.

I would love to see some pictures of these pigeons. I will do a quick search and see what I can find. I will let you know if I find any.

I googled this real quick but didn't see anything where they are actually dyed a color. I did see where pigeons come in a variety of colors naturally but not pinks and such colors as that.

Thats really weired that people would have dyed pigeons to do a ritual. I don't think they even do it. It must have been a fake rumor. I never heard of this ritual. Why the heck would people do this to the pigeons, cause pink is a disgusting color.

Blue pigeons? Wow! That must really be an interesting sight huh? I have seen a lot of dyed animals but not blue pigeons. Here in our city, I have seen white horses dyed pink. I also have seen guinea pigs dyed in different colors but not blue pigeons.
