Do you read books? If so, which ones? 2008/05/06 09:35 Karma: 0
I read a lot of books these days mainly because I have the time. I'm getting really bored these days due to the school being closed.
I reading and re-reading a lot of books. These include:
Harry Potter series
The Lord of the Rings Series
Eragon Series
and some books of Dan Brown.

What do you read?

I must say I am a big reader (very sad really nothing eles to do in the evenings) Terry Pratchett (waiting for next one in Sept) Neil Gaiman. Ben Elton, Marion Bradley, Ellis Peters anything on alternative health, Kerrang magazine (handy having teens around) James Herbert, Robert Asprin the list is endless. I will read just about anything except chick lit not my thing.
I find the library is the best way to test new authors if you don't enjoy it, you have'nt lost anything only a couple of hours and you never know you may be surprised
HAPPY READING

I have a keen intrest in many things from hypnotherapy to accuputure, alternative diets, the power of chi,to dreaming working. I believe that there are alot of positive alternatives to modern medicine. The power of the brain and body to keep you healthy. I feel we reach for the medicine cabinet or the doctors far too quickly.
I am also on the look out for new or quite often very old remedies.
And you????

Wow fantastic...

I like hypnotherapy.

Are you a therapist or just interested for personal use?

Hi there, I have done a years training in Hypnotherapy/psychotherapy and counselling about 4 years ago and manged a level 4 diploma (go me) but to be honest I use the tools I learnt in my job now working with EBD kids. I would have loved to do more and looked deeper into NLP and TA and I often use waking hypnosis with guided journeys (not at work)So any guidance is always welcome...

I don't believe that any one is thick only that people don't know everything! TA transactional analysis. Eric Berne is looked at being the father of this although the roots go futher back.
Quite often lumped into NLP.
Hope this helps......

Fantastic... Thanks for this.

I studied NLP some years back, but never ran into this.

I am a voracious reader or rather I was. Now, I find myself stuck to the computer. Still, I manage to squeeze in a few hours for reading. Here is a list of my favorites: Harry Potter series, all books by P. G. Wodehouse, all the thrillers and chillers, Sherlock Holmes, stuff on spirituality such as Conversations with God, books by Osho, and well, the list is endless. I love reading anything and everything. However, I steer clear of science and technology stuff because I don't understand it.

Cheers!
