I see trees are green... (as the song goes...)

Well not now...

VANDALS have attacked young trees planted on the verge of Hitchcock Way.

I have to ask what exactly is this referring to? Did someone damage trees? I hope this isn't a dumb question but I just am not to sure. Thanks

Yeah trees that were planted on the verge of Hitchcock Way in Didcot have been vandalised probably by youths, but they are always trying to improve the area and the trees were attacked, not too sure of the exact damage but I know the council are going to have a look and see what needs to be replanted, but the trees cost about £100.

Trees are precious! Government must penalize those who cause any harm to the trees. And why did the youths did so? Any reaons?

I dont know why they did it, but then why do vandals do anything, if kids are bored and wanting to damage things then they wont really care if something is precious, my aunt lives in Didcot and if its not the bottles being smashed or the graffitti being sprayed everywhere, then they are attacking the trees. Its youths these days it happens in all places, but they have been trying to improve Hitchcock way and the surrounding areas for a while so its obviously upsetting, frustrating and costly for the council and the people living there.

That is such a shame that they are doing this kind of thing. I hope that they catch the people that are doing this. I understand that it is youths but you have to wonder why these young kids feel the need to do this and think that this is fun? Such a shame.

It's really not the money that is the worst part of this but the fact that the (probably) kids who did this thought it a proper thing to vandalize. There is nothing constructive whatsoever in wrecking nature. I can see how there is at least some appeal to graffiti and such but ruining trees is really stupid.

Sounds to me like the youth have to much time on their hands. Where are the parents? I mean wouldn't this have to be done more at night then in the daytime? You would think that they would be at home.

Why trees? What have they ever done to hurt them? Anyway, I'm upset about the news too but I do have to say, Hitchcock Way is a mighty cool name.

I don't get why trees either? So has this gotten better? That being said is there a curfew for kids of a certain age? That might be of some help if there was one put in place.
