Hey, the police put out a large warning today asking for citizens help in stopping raves in the area. We are encouraged to call them at 0845 8 505 505, Please call if you know of any raves going on in our community.

We should co-operate the police in such matters.The police are doing their duties & we should support them.I will inform them with the number you have quoted, whenever such a case comes infront of me.

This is in fact, a good way of encouraging citizens to cooperate particularly in reporting such incidents. It would be great to live in a peaceful place. Hopefully, people would remain vigilant.

Don't you think it would be a good idea to have a proper PLACE for these parties? I wonder how many communities will care enough to create a place so that the all-night RAVE parties will be fine and people can still have fun with them?

The police are trying to stop them because part of the problem is under age drinking. Yes, they are also trying to keep it quiet and safe around here for us too. So it is not just having a proper place to have the party, more of the illegal activity that is conducted during and after the rave parties.

I remember the days we used to wait in anticipation for news of the next undercover rave venue, it was a buzz and YES although there is alot of under age drinking and drug taking it really isnt anything more than you see at clubs. Surely these kids shouldnt be there in the first place? again i blame the parents i would like to think my 16 year old child was tucked up in bed before these raves even got going. Its blown out of proprtion and made to look like something it really isnt. Many of those that complain have never witnessed a rave and are sensationalists in my opinion.

In my opinion Raves are nothing but an avenue for people to get together and do drugs. Maybe if thier was more policing to stop this, then then maybe the kids that needed it would get help. I do agree that it is the parents responsiblity, However, has your child ever said I am going to stay the night at so and so's house? Ever Wonder?

I would like to think that i would have built some kind of relationship with the 'friends' parents to ensure we BOTH knew where our children were when they say they are sleeping at the friends house.
I think if you've tried and got away with things as a child you are aware that your children may well be doing the same. what im trying to say is that i am not a naiive parent and would ensure they were where they said they where if it involved a sleep over.

Back to Raves yes it is part of the culture to take drugs, but it is no differant to the super clubs that play the same type of music and are licenced!! Ibiza anyone?

theese partys are a way of expressing the way u feel and they are all about a community feeling

the police break laws when attending theese partys.
i have seen thanes valley police and milton keynes and bucks police tape up there badges and absolutly beating the livin daylights out of these ravers
i have vidoe fottage of the vigilante it not on at all

Rave parties are fine but the teenagers should not be allowed there.And the illegal activities must be limited to some extent there.I think the police have warned only as a precautionary measure.
