Have you guys visited Burford House Gardens (Treasures of Tenbury)? Last week i had been there along with my family and i liked the experience.the atmosphere was quite good and peaceful, not something you get to experience a lot. It has a large garden centre and shop containing a glorious assembly of gardening ideas and also an Art Gallery.
What do you think of this place?

I haven't been there before but I'm interested in the fact that it has an art gallery on the premise. Was the art gallery good or more of just something to say they have? If it's a good one I'm going to have to get to Burford to check it out sometime.

This sounds like a great place to visit. I seen some pictures online of the gardens and I only wish I was coming in the summertime. I bet the smell walking through them is awesome. I didn't see anything about the art gallery though, sorry.

I'm not going to try to be too smug but luckily I'll be getting across the pond just in time for the summer. Even without the art gallery this would still be tempting to visit and have a good excuse for traveling around a little bit more than I originally planned.

I think it is great you are going in the summer. I would love to go in the summer but am going with others so have to go when they do. That's all right though I will still get to see and do things I have never done.

i agree that the best time to go there would be in summer only, but as i had some guests who had come from abroad, so i thought this would be a good place to show them. its art gallery is quite good, worth watching. it also has a meadow gallery with outdoor sculptures.

Your descriptions got me intrigued so I looked it up and it rather looks like a place I visited in Italy! Anyway, it looks wonderful. Why is the house so famous, do you know?

it does look as we have entered a whole new world. its quite green and peaceful.
the reason i know that makes it famous is that it has national clematis collection , along with around 2000 other plants , including the magnificent Wisteria Burford which in may cascades spectaculalry down the back of the house.
i plan to visit it again in may for that particular reason.

It sounds really beautiful. I hope that we get to see it. That is a huge number of plants to see. Thanks for the information.

I have never seen the place in person but I have seen some pictures online a few moments back while reading this entry. I rarely see places that provide peaceful ambiance. If I do, I would grab the opportunity to enjoy the serenity.
